Tools Training
Beginning Tools - 4 days
Introduction to the tools including Report Writer, End-User Painter and View Editor. Designed to provide students with an understanding of each tool. Students learn tool capabilities by constructing reports and forms.

Intermediate Tools - Reports - 3 days (Requirement: Beginning Tools)
Covers the entire cycle of creating a report, including tips and techniques to ensure successful, optimized reports. Beginning with an understanding of where the data is coming from and creating the appropriate view, the class constructs several reports as well as report front ends. An introductory to basic script writing is also covered, including placing simple scripts in an inquiry.

Intermediate Tools - Inquiries - 3 days (Requirement: Beginning Tools)
Covers the entire cycle of creating an inquiry, including tips and techniques to ensure successful inquiries. Beginning with an understanding of where the data is coming from and creating the appropriate view, the class constructs several inquiries. An introductory to basic script writing is also covered, including placing simple scripts in an inquiry.

Advanced Tools - 3 days (Requirement: Beginning Tools)
Covers the entire cycle of creating a report, including tips and techniques to ensure successful, optimized reports. Beginning with an understanding of where the data comes from and creating the appropriate view, the class constructs several reports as well as report front ends. This is a hands-on class that provides practical experience in report writing. The student should have a beginning knowledge of the tools.
Database

Introduction to the Database Structure - 1 day

This seminar is designed for the financial manager (CFO, finance director, controller, budget manager, accounting manager) as an introduction to the database structure. The course is limited to the transactional tables: time, cost and billing. A brief introduction to ISQL/W is included and sample queries will be provided.
DocuDraft
Introduction to DocuDraft - 4 days
This session provides prebill and bill format developers with the skills to effectively design, develop, troubleshoot, and manage DocuDraft templates. Starting with a simple format, each lessons builds upon that format to create a comprehensive bill. Students are encouraged to bring bill samples to the class.

Advanced DocuDraft - 3 days
This class is designed for those who have Docudraft experience and wish to build on that knowledge. Topics include taxes, RTF formats, modular architecture, the options feature (DocuDraft developers will be introduced to the Data Dictionary and Screen Painter), SQL statements directly in DocuDraft, the DocuDraft Toolkit to customize DocuDraft views (adding new variables, adding a table to a view, adding a subview to a view) and task-based billing formatting.
SQL
Introduction to SQL / Database Tables - 3 days
This class provides important knowledge of the CMS table structure to better understand how the product works. It is specifically designed to enhance report writing skills and aid in interpretation of reports. A strong database background is not necessary, but familiarity with CMS and accounting is helpful. The class teaches basic SQL as a tool for learning the tables. The class is helpful for both IT and Accounting personnel.

Advanced SQL - 3 days
Follow-up to the SQL learned in Tables Training. Advanced topics are covered in detail, including outer joins, temporary tables, functions, aggregates, NULL issues, and union statements.
Script Writing
Introduction to Script Writing - 1 day
Designed for users with no programming background, this class offers an introduction to basic script writing. The session walks the user through how scripts are built and introduces key programming concepts such as variables, flow-control, objects and events.

Advanced Script Writing - 3 days
This is an advanced class concentrating on all aspects of scripts used in Screens, Views and Reports. It assumes the attendee has experience with the End User Painter, View Editor and Report Writer. In addition, users should be familiar with some macro language such as Word Basic, VBA, etc. This is the most advanced tools class available!
